The management board is convened by the Chairperson. It meets whenever needed, and at least every two months. The invitation shall define the venue and time of the meeting and list the items of the agenda. If the Chairperson is unable to attend, the meeting shall be convened by the Vice-chairperson.
The term of service of the Management board equals the municipal year, with possibility to be extended for three months after the end of the municipal year, until a new municipal council is designated.
The management board of FODSA exercises the following powers:
- manages the property of the legal person
- establishes the pricing policy to the municipalities – members of FODSA, in accordance with art. 9, law 2939/2001 (Α’ 179)
- approves the budget and the financial situation of FODSA
- approves the technical programme
- draws its rules of procedure,
- elects the statute of internal service
- delivers opinion to public authorities or competent bodies, when consulted
- makes decisions, in accordance with point a, par. 4, art. 1
- designs, implements, and supervises the PESDA, in accordance with par. 2, art. 35, law 4042/2012, as amended and in force. In case it is the only FOSDA of the competent region, in accordance with par. 2, art. 3 of the present.
The management board may, by decision published on the Government Gazette, transfer its authorities to the executive committee, the Chairperson, Vice-chairperson, and heads of its units. This does not apply for the decisions on pricing policy, members’ contribution, budget approval, technical programme approval and dissolution of FOSDA.
According to the above decision, the transferred authorities may be jointly exercised by the management board.
